From December 17 to 18, 2024, a series of events celebrating the 15th anniversary of China Pacific Insurance Company’s (CPIC) H-share listing were held in Hong Kong. The activities included an investment forum, a dinner gala and a symphony concert titled “Music Spreading Across the World,” which was hosted at the Jockey Club Auditorium of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in partnership with the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association.
These events commemorated CPIC’s 33-year milestones, highlighting its Shanghai roots, nationwide service, and significant achievements. Mr. Wu Qiang, CEO of Yufung Broker, was invited to participate in the celebrations and attended the symphony concert alongside other distinguished guests, marking the milestone of CPIC’s listing anniversary.

CPIC has maintained a customer-centric approach, offering diversified products and services including risk protection, wealth planning, and asset management to over 180 million customers. From 1991 to 2023, CPIC’s annual operating income expanded from RMB 260 million to RMB 303.95 billion, and total assets grew from RMB 1 billion to RMB 2.3 trillion, firmly establishing CPIC among China’s leading insurance groups.

As a national joint-stock commercial insurer founded during China’s reform and opening-up, CPIC has actively embraced international capital markets. Its H-share listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on December 23, 2009, was the second largest IPO in Hong Kong and the seventh largest globally that year. Over 15 years, CPIC has enhanced its corporate governance, internationalization, and market orientation, while expanding its presence in Hong Kong’s insurance market through property and casualty insurance, life insurance, and asset management.

CPIC’s wholly-owned subsidiary, CPIC Life Hong Kong, is committed to upholding the parent company’s philosophy, deepening market cultivation, and striving to become a leading life insurer in Hong Kong by delivering superior customer experiences and contributing to CPIC’s future growth.
This milestone celebration not only reflected on CPIC’s past achievements but also reinforced its strategic focus on fintech, green finance, pension finance, inclusive finance, and digital finance. CPIC aims to support the real economy, enhance people’s well-being, and strengthen its investment in the Greater Bay Area, leveraging Hong Kong’s status as an international financial center to advance its internationalization strategy
